Importance of Cleaning Makeup Brushes
The brush hairs on Seint’s makeup brushes are porous, so they will hold onto dirt, debris and oils which are a feeding ground for bacteria. This can often cause acne breakouts if we continuously use dirty brushes on our face.
In addition to that, if our Seint makeup brushes are dirty, it will affect makeup application. It may come out splotchy and blending won’t be as easy.
How Often Should I Clean Seint Makeup Brushes?
There isn’t an exact answer as to how often you should clean your makeup brushes, but experts agree you should deep clean your brushes at least once every two weeks. Most experts say you should really do so once per week.
You can also do a quick clean after every couple of use with our brush cleaner spray, which we will go over in this guide as well.
How to Clean Seint Makeup Brushes: Quick Clean
Seint’s spray brush cleaner is amazing for a quick clean. It really gets a ton of the makeup out of the brush.
Cream makeup tends to hold onto brushes more than traditional makeup, so it’s important to get the excess off our brushes. I’d recommend doing this at least once a week, if not more.
Seint’s Brush Cleanser sanitizes your brushes and conditions the bristles of your brushes to keep them looking and feeling like new.

1. Spray bristles 1-2 times, but don’t saturate the brush.
2. Gently swirl the brush on a dry part of a clean paper towel until no more product comes off the brush.
3. The cleaner will dry within 5 minutes and your brushes will be good to go!

Even though our spray cleaner is amazing, it’s still important that we deep clean brushes at least once every two weeks.
The first thing you’ll want to do is get your cleaner of choice. Usually people use:
Brush Cleaner
There are liquid brush cleaners available that are meant to clean, disinfect, and condition the bristles on your brush. A popular brush cleaner is Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleanser. This one is recommended by a lot of makeup artists.
Gentle Face Cleanser
Facial cleanser is another great option for deep cleaning your Seint makeup brushes. It’s recommended that you use a gentle cleanser, like how Makeup Artist Mario Dedivanovic cleans makeup brushes. He swears by using Philosophy’s Purity’s Made Simple cleanser.
Dish Soap
Dish soap is another popular option. Find a gentle option, like Mrs. Meyers Dish Soap.
The Game-Changing Cleaner
However, I recently learned about a game-changing product that I’ve fallen in love.
I now use The Masters Brush Cleaner. It’s typically used for paint and artist brushes, but it works extremely well will makeup brushes too! I am amazed at how crisp and clean my seint makeup brushes turn out everytime I use it.
I learned this trick from Michelle Spielermua, who has been a makeup artist for 25 years. In one of her videos, she mentioned she worked on the set of New Girl and they used this product to clean the makeup brushes. So clearly, I had to try it out.
Now that you have your cleaner of choice, let’s jump into how to deep clean your seint makeup brushes.
How to Deep Clean Seint Makeup Brushes:
1. Wet the bristles of your makeup brush.
2. Apply your soap of choice
3. Using a brush cleaning mat or the Master’s Brush Cleaner jar, swirl around the brush and rinse out.
4. Do this on repeat until the water runs clear.
5. Squeeze out any excess water from the brush.
6. Lay out makeup brushes to dry.
A note about drying, make sure you don’t lay your brushes flat on a towel. You can use a makeup brush holder or even hang them off the edge of a counter top.
