Seint Makeup features a cream-based IIID foundation that gives you a “lit from within” glow. With that said, what about those who naturally have oily skin? Is Seint Makeup good for oily skin? If you’re wondering about these questions, this is the exact guide you need to read.

In short, Seint Makeup works great for oily skin! However, there are a few application tips and tricks to remember to tame down your oil, not look greasy and have your makeup last all day.
Also, keep in mind that there is an adjustment period for your skin when using any new product. Allow your skin to adjust to the cream foundation for at least two weeks. If you have very oily skin, this period of time may lean more toward four weeks. Just stick with it; it’s worth it!
Seint Makeup Oily Skin Prep 101
The first thing you want to remember is that Seint Makeup is very different from traditional makeup.
Traditional makeup sets into your skin as the water in it evaporate out after application. Cream makeup does not set into the skin, so the moisture within the cream stays on the face.
Why this is important for those with oily skin because this makeup is moisturizing on its own. If you have excess oil production, you won’t want to moisturize heavily right before application. If you do, this may cause your makeup to look greasy and not stay on well.
1. Focus on Skincare
If you have oily skin, chances are you need to focus a bit more on a new skincare routine. Oily skin is often because we are skin is craving more moisture. The great news is that Seint’s cream makeup is very moisturizing in itself.
Seint’s milk moisturizer is amazing for oily skin if used at night. Also, consider a gentle exfoliator twice a week.
2. Skip the Moisturizer
Since the cream foundation is so moisturizing, try skipping your moisturizer prior to application. You can certainly moisturize at night, but allow the IIID foundation to moisturize your skin in the morning.
If you still do prefer moisturizing in the morning, I’d at least suggest waiting around 15 minutes before applying your Seint makeup.
3. Use a Silicone-Free Primer
While Seint’s foundation was made to be applied directly onto bare skin, if you have very oily skin, you may benefit from using a primer. Once you’ve gone through the adjustment period and you’re finding your makeup looks a bit greasy after a while or isn’t staying on, it’s time to try a good primer.
You’ll want to be sure your primer is silicone-free since cream makeup does not stick to silicone very well. I highly recommend either MILK Hydro Grip Primer or Elf’s Primer, which are both silicone-free.
The primer will act as a barrier for your skin to block excess oil and will help your makeup last all day.

After Foundation Application 101
After your makeup is applied, there are a few things you can do to decrease oil on your face and make sure the IIID foundation stays on throughout the day.
1. Perfector Sponge
After applying your highlight, contour, and blush, use a damp (not wet) perfecting sponge to both blend your face and take away any excess product.
2. Vanilla Dust
You’ll want to “bake” your skin with powder in the areas that tend to be oily.
Apply Seint’s Vanilla Dust to oily areas with a damn perfecting sponge. Press it into these spots and let it sit for a few moments, then just away with a loose brush.
3. Setting Spray
Seint has a great moisturizing setting spray that you can use both before and after makeup application. If you have very oily skin, however, I recommend the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray to be used after your makeup.
Final Thoughts
If you have oily skin, Seint Makeup is actually a great fit for you! Your skin may actually be craving more moisture, and Seint’s cream makeup offers that. You may need to tweak your application a bit from someone who had normal or dry skin, but you’ll still be able benefit from Seint’s IIID foundation.
